there is a very interesting game going on in south china sea, for now, and presumably soon to encompass east china sea, and subsequently to the pacific ocean west of guam, and indian ocean east of africa

(1) the game should keep the techies busy for awhile

the openly announce chinese plans, as elmat seem to love openness, and the pentagon so constantly complains much about transparency, is that

(1-i) grid-mark the seabed w/ listening network (code name underwater great wall) janes.com

the issue of course is 'what else can the network do?'

for example but not limited to, and in addition to passive-listen, active scan, and add engine noise in the water ala underwater 'smoke screen'

the network presumably and is announced to be able to give tsunami warning, and its data would be commercially available, like a business, for peace and prosperity and all good stuff, unless events go pear shape

(1-ii) expand deployment of anti-ship df21d/df26 - the 'defensive' df21d janes.com and df26 janes.com anti-ship ballistic missile systems that can allegedly hit large moving targets out to distance of guam. a distance that the chinese claim is proof that the system is defensive in nature, else presumably the system (war head & system capability / capacity) would be active to east of london docks

(1-iii) commercialise haiyi-7000 underwater glider - scmp.com that which can move w/o engine, wait quietly, swarm, all the way down to the bottom of the deepest ocean at us$ 40k per pop, to loiter and keep the peace w/i each and every marked grid of the above mentioned underwater great wall

(1-iv) increase market for submarine-launched anti-ship missile - janes.com to better guard freedom of navigation everywhere

(1-v) increase market for ship-launched rocket torpedo - nationalinterest.org to faster get to signs of troubling nuissance

(1-vi) perfect quantum radar as well as ramp rollout of low frequency radar systems to see through stealth invisibility and get at the spear-end of troubles i-hls.com

(1-vii) expand deployment of anti-satellite capabilities and capacities - freebeacon.com - to better keep the peace by assuring security against wastrelists everywhere

(1-viii) perfect and commercialise hypersonic glider to better assure message delivery by nullifying anti-ballistic shield and such simple measures freebeacon.com

(1-ix) serial produce the ultra long range air-to-air widget to remove stealth threats by cutting flying range of stealth supports dailymail.co.uk

(2) then there are drones, drone swarms, etc etc all meant as commercial businesses, and in elmat's language, for export to customers with need for better security

(3) etc etc (cyber this, space that, ai-enhanced loitering defensive attack-drones, etc)
