Hi, Leo, Happy New Year.

Yes, that's what I intend to do. I'm going for a PII board, and the 233 cpu. One problem is that my memory - 40 meg of 72-pin simms doesn't seem to be transferable - almost all PII boards only offer dimms banks. It looks like the total cost will be around $600-700.

I'll let you know what happens. I'm still trying to find a capable PII board that will accept simms.

Apart from any savings (if any) it's the fun of doing your own upgrades. It's not easy to beat today's prices - a PII from dell, well configured for $1799!

BTW, whatever did happen to Vanni? I miss him. A strange mixture.

Think the Drives have finally broken out? Charts all look good, but that can turn around in a sec. If you think volume is a good confirming indicator, WDC had the best action on friday. Think I may go back into that one tomorrow. Veeco, too, tho volume was mediocre, even allowing for the fact that overall volume was no great shakes.
