BERLIN — A truck slammed into a Christmas market in central Berlin Monday might, injuring multiple people, police said.

There were few available details and it's not clear what the immediate cause of the accident was, or who may be responsible.

German media reported that the incident took place at an outdoor market near Berlin's Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church.

Dozens of people were killed in August when a truck slammed into a large crowd watching a fireworks display in Nice, France. The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack.
