When streets are no longer safe for a free people to walk down it means the system failed. No one should be concerned about safety walking down the street anywhere. The German high-command let citizens be slaughtered, injured and traumatized in a social experiment they orchestrated. A fair system would hold the high-command accountable and they would be guillotined in the public square.
