Does infrastructure investment lead to economic growth or economic fragility? Evidence from China
http://oxrep.oxfordjournals.org/content/32/3/360.abstract

My parents bought a plot of land and planned to build a house for the growing family.

They saved for materials from the meager earnings. Then Brazil decided to build the Brasilia, and move the capital from Rio de Janeiro.

Late 50s, the price of construction materials skyrocketed. They got discouraged and eventually sold the plot. They died, both at 92 years,, without ever owning the roof above their heads.

I was in Niegria in the mid 80s when Nigeria wanted to build Abuja against the advise o of the IMF and the ADB.

Egypt will have to contend with the Law of Unintended Consequences which Elmat always preempt the next ten moves of the chess players since he combine: Open mindedness. Global outlook. Life Experience and a keen nose to smell bullshit let out by the men in power.

Inflation will skyrocket in Egypt and the housing will become worse as all resources are directed to build Cairo II.
