Perhaps you just read the title and wrote it off unexamined. It's not what it seems. She was making a statement with that title.

It's been fifty years since I encountered her work. I haven't seen any buzz about it in a very long time. I definitely have not encountered any politicians doing deeds in her name. If you can give me an example of one I will entertain it. I tend to pay attention to programs and policies more than to the perpetrators so I could have missed something.

I would not think the two would be compatible so perhaps the parties are distorting Rand as politicians are prone to do with their religion. OTOH, not too long ago I found a website for Christian libertarians, which I would also think incompatible yet they find a way to shoehorn them together so, maybe where's a will, there's a way.
