<<<<We disagree. provably negative for GDP. And human rights.>>>>

I had a drink at the local Olive Garden with an old Cuban a few days ago. He was born in Cuba and lived a long time in Spain. He said there was a time in Spain where the government slapped a huge tariff on goods coming into the country and according to this guy the economy of Spain soared. That everything started to be made in Spain and everyone benefited. He said prices went up (ya, I'll bet!) but it didn't make a difference because workers wages went up a lot. (Just what Krugman has argued for years although this way of getting it accomplished is different of course).

We need more good stuff (wherever it is made) and less bad stuff - think plastic crap from China. I am NOT in favor of Nation Building nor policing the world (another of Hillary's mistakes) which is another reason for tariffs. Think America first! The world is moving in this way and I'm good with that. My sister a strict democrat elite thinks we need a new world order and that we will all sing togther as the world moves in that direction. The world is not ready for that.
