The problem is that the Constitution (a very flawed document) doesn't in fact actually clarify what the requirement is, because it uses a term it never defines "Natural born citizen". How nutty can you get? When Cruz was running, the Republicans decided that the clause wasn't a problem for him, but the same people thought that if Obama was born in Kenya it would have been a problem.
