True, it's not the child's fault, but it is the parent's fault...
Here's a guaranteed way to avoid poverty... yes, I'm serious, this is guaranteed, but still it's being ignored...
ONLY TWO RULES:
1) Finish high school, and
2) Do not have a child until you're married...
It sounds so simple, but very largely, the inner city black community everywhere in the United States ignores this simple guideline... oh, sure, call it racist, but it's not, it's a fact... I know this to be true and factual, I lived in the inner city in Brooklyn, I've seen this first hand and I've seen longitudinal studies done in many large cities... inner city blacks have kids and the father disappears, and being a member of a gang is more important than staying in school...
If you try to stay in school and plan to marry, then "you're not black enough" is the current culture, and as a result you will always feel like the victim...
Treating only the symptom of hungry kids will never cure the problem...
You need to encourage these same people to begin legitimate businesses, allow small businesses to operate without oppressive government regulations and irrelevant obligations... then, these small businesses could grow, expand, and hire, and provide better wages... employees can start their own businesses... it all begins with small local business inside the community... then, people in the inner city could move to a better place to live, buy a home, send their kids to a better school, and begin to share in the American Dream... those who are smart enough have already done that, but most are being played as suckers by politicians only for their votes, the politicians don't give a damn about anyone but themselves...
That's for starters...
