To me, the really interesting thing in the years I have left in my life (56 now) will be to see how a system like ours, where people can be manipulated to believe nonsense, and then vote accordingly, can compete against a system run by a small fraction of "elites" like The Party in China does. One can make all sorts of arguments for why one system should implode and the other not, but the proof will be in the pudding so to speak. The competition is not between Reps and Dems in the USA, it is between democracy in the era of Faux News, and a the Chinese model of government. TWT who wins.
