Perhaps to make your point, it would be good to look at a list of cities with such laws and compare crime statistics in order to determine whether or not NYC is an outlier data point
or if the conservatives on this board that come up with cities with such laws with high crime are talking about the outliers.

Otherwise at this point, the conservatives on this thread win the argument, since they come up with a much longer list of cities with crime problems.

It is quite possible that NYC is unique.

Right now NYC has a far left mayor and crime is increasing.

Correlation is not necessarily causation, but it seems that whenever NYC has someone further middle/right, crime tends to decreases so perhaps in this case, it is true.

In any event, as to the gun laws, really - I'd love to see this information.
