the russians are not taking over this thread

albeit we appear to have thread members who are either able to see through lens that take due consideration of russian interest, or take account of whys and hows of impact to ourselves

am all for diversity of opinions to dilute group-think that which gets us into trouble

while we are on topic, am somewhat doubtful that we would see proof of russian involvement in the usa election process by way of hacks and such, but it was interesting that clinton e-mails found daylight

reminds me of the leaks of family wealth of then china prime minster wen jiabao, and the credit suisse revelations re taiwan president chen shui bian - in both episodes am almost sure the leakers were a lot closer to the scene than any foreign powers, and had nothing to do w/ diligence of bloomberg / nyt reportage

i do not see anything wrong w/ leaks, which are actually healthy

fabrication deserves separate discussion on whether it is or not fair gaming, but as all must do it, suppose unless none does, all fair game
