The investigation is a NY State Witch Hunt. The governor was right in that he cannot get a certificate of good standing while the investigation is open. But he can eliminate any contributions or disbursements which would end its existence in any practical sense. I have on multiple occasions had clients liquidate and shut down corporations that were under audit. Another thing you "can't do." I would imagine the Trump Foundation is essentially shut down as of today.
