Can you name a couple of existing policies that contributed to US success that you also believe should be left alone, i.e., cannot be substantially improved? A couple is all.

Well every policy can be improved. Worked a lifetime doing that.

But the US has worked 10+ generations building and improving these institutions. The proof is in the end, we're damn well off compared with most other countries. To elect someone that wants to deconstruct the worlds most admired institutions is insane. Starting with respect for the constitution.

But insane is what we got... in so many ways.
