True it not all be used by the plants but the net result would be a reduction in CO2...... How they produced the CO2, ie by burning something organic, would have happened anyway... It is also possible that the CO2 was obtained by separation from air....or other CO2 producing source. The gas has commercial uses, ya know....like putting the fizz in your Dr. Pepper..
