Nothing I said was false. And it never is unless it is a mistake. There were no mistakes in my previous post.

SS is currently spending about 60 Billion/year more than it takes in. This will continue for decades to come. That money has to come from somewhere. And yes, it will come through increased deficits.

The < 2 Trillion spent on the wars during the Bush administration were the costs of going to war. It isn't something we, as a country, have ever hesitated over. We've always come up with the money when it was necessary to conduct a war, particularly in response to an attack destroyed a chunk of Manhattan and killed 3000 of our citizens on our land. Yes, the money had to be spent.
