How did we get here?

We let sociopaths take over the country. Colluded with them, even. It was inevitable, I suppose. It takes a lot of work to make sure they don't and most people don't want to put in the work.

Now, just imagine what happens when a few more state houses get taken over by Republicans. As we have seen, once they get control, they make sure they never lose it. With a few more state houses, they can amend the Constitution at will.

Then things will get interesting.
