:0) observe that you are certainly 'interested'

real estate is a 'local' game and ought to play well w/ trump, a real estate player gungho on deregulation and infrastructure renewal

real estate is at once examinable by ocular inspection, and affected by macro (rate, affordability, etc), so relatively easy play

unsure whether real estate generally leads or usually lags the share market cycle (for hk it varies by episode)

given the size of each chip and the leverage that could be, could certainly be make / break all the marbles

the flavour of real estate chosen can mitigate general market risk

had chosen to go mostly industrial even though hk hasn't been an industrial town for some time (the break w/ past was perhaps 1985) - the governmental largess dispensed for seeding rejuvenation in the areas of interest and the polite connections by expanding subway network have been very good, so far, affording generalised ~7X gain so far, and realistically targeting another double before starting to go home

other wager is a tech start-up that i had worked on since 2004 - the venture playing in the global arena is near time for harvesting, and a liquidity event by trade sale would be convenient

given the nature and relative size of wagers, a lot of bricks & mortar and a pile of illiquid paper, a ramp into a gilded age exquisitely coincidental w/ exits would be a good

given stance, had not made any serious public market wagers since 2012, and am not leveraged - a situation i describe as cautious
