Restaurateurs and other people should be able to choose who they deal with. If they don't want Trumpsters there, that's okay. << “People should be able to get food without hearing a political message,” one apparent former customer wrote on Yelp. “I will never go back.” >> Same for Catholics, Jews, Moslems, Negroes, Caucasians, Asians, tall, short, male, female, engineers only, Francophiles excluded, ... a club for like-minded or otherwise similar people is fair enough. If Trumpsters want a restaurant they can go to, they could start one.
Perhaps it's an advertising scheme. It has certainly got them in the news. I had never heard of Cafe 8.5. They could reasonably conclude that they would lose a few of their existing customers, but gain swarms of LLL Hillarians from the publicity. It's probably a good strategy to increase business.
Good for them. I hope they succeed.
