I think Windows 7 users will be around for a long time, mainly because of the forced update issue in Windows 10.
I hope so, but isn't Microsoft scheduled to stop support for Windows 7 in the not-too-distant future?

I've heard that using Windows 10 with Classic Shell makes it more palatable for those used to having a Start Menu and such, but I have yet to try Windows 10 myself.
