Your post reminded me that I was thinking about political correctness this morning.

I woke up with the word, "conformity," in my head. No clue where that came from. Hadn't thought of it in ages. I recall my escape from the fifties and its conformity and with the non-conformist push-back in the sixties. No one talks about conformity anymore. We have become so diverse.

Anyway, it occurred to me that political correctness is today's name for conformity, the leading edge of it.

Haven't thought about that much. Worth a ponder sometime.
