Irby: Great thread... A hardy thanks to all contributors. You convinced me to stop lurking and pay up the $125 to join. I hope I can contribute to the discussion here. I'll give a brief background about myself for starters: I have been position trading stocks for about six years. About six months ago, I shifted my attention to daytrading. I opened an account with Castle Securities ("Home of the Killkey"), but have done minimal daytrading as yet. My focus is on developing a mechanical daytrading system, integrating datafeed, data analysis (expert system) and automated order execution. I have been spending the last six months trying to do my homework ==> setting up datafeed, storing level II data and developing/backtesting systems. I hope to be able to contribute to this thread. -Eric Patterson
