Real household income is a pretty poor measuring stick of income changes over time as it doesn't include all forms of income and also household size is not static (OTOH I don't think its changed much over 9 years).

Which isn't to say the recovery has been strong, it hasn't.

Also while I think Obama contributed to the weakness of the recovery, I think you put too much of the blame on him. Presidents generally get too much blame or credit (in Obama's case both depending on which side of the political fence you talk to).
