Miles,

Some folks have been a little lax in helping me protect the proprietary nature of the MIMBO. Then the name was a bit mangled but I don't really mind either circumstance. The gist of a MIMBO is to identify when a stock has confirmed that it will rise from nearly the bottom of O'Neill's cup to the top. I figure that if a cup with handle breakout is lucrative, getting in toward the bottom of the cup is vastly more so. The formation and verification of a MIMBO pinpoints the price range from which the most rapid advance will be made as the price runs to the previous alltime high. As with the cup with handle breakout and other chart pattern and formation breakouts, volume is key. It is not a daytrading strategy or even a 3 month play but the run to the top often occurs in 3 to 6 months and results in a 100 to 400% gain in that time. When you see on this thread that a MIMBO has been confirmed, the potential target is to the stock's alltime high. RECY and IFCI were the best examples that I was involved with in 1997. Volume failure stopped others in their tracks but many of the stocks from the POW days made significant gains before the volume failed. There are also a few that the jury is still out on since the timeframe of the MIMBO has not passed on them yet. AMVC is one of those that is basing after the initial breakout/retest survival that I use as the signal.
