BB, Used my multi-search engine on VIX and got 176 web sites with everything from the Vermont Information eXchange to Husband battering (how that = VIX, I don't care to know). Here are two sites of interest... the latter probably more than the former (BWDIK?): SI: Ask Mohan about the Market (#8896/10324) www.cboe.com/index/oex/chart9.htm The latter states that a 30 on the VIX means that traders are covering as much as a 30% move (up OR down) on the markets... so we went to 55 <gulp>. It is a good review of what VIX is all about. Miraculously, none of our jabberings were found in that search. <phew> Bill
