| | | On its way to that 2 and 1/2 years 466% gain, NVDA had "barely" moved by this past February, when I bought it for the first time ever, on 2/17. I paid 27.35. That was up less than 50% (~45%) since the July 4th weekend 2014.
They were reporting that after-hours with an earlier estimate of $.32 (that had crept up to .44) and revenues est. of $1.31B. They reported .52 and $1.40B, and the stock popped.
But I didn't buy it again until August 10, this time not waiting for the reporting day, which was the next day. The est. was $.37 (there was a pattern here), a whole 5 cents higher than the 6-months earlier quarter. The revs estimate was $1.35B.
They reported .53 and $1.43B.
I bought it again the day after Election Day, November 9, with the quarterly report due the next day, estimate of $.57 and revs of $1.69B.
On 11/10 nVIDIA reported $.94 and $2.00B, and raised the dividend to $.14 from $.115. |
