Ok. New approach this year. I am going with the 2016 losers by algorithm. Here is how I arrived at my picks.

1. Take favorite stocks last year. Being in so many portfolios, they must have had something ok.
2. I then weeded out those that did better than -28% (wanted to keep FGEN although EVERYONE is in it) or worse than -65%.
3. I then checked market caps. I was going to reduce to those >$100 million to force something meaningful left in company but decided to keep 2 that were half the cap (for fun - and because 1 looks binary to me and because 2-3 from Dew's thread in the other). I also kept one right at the cutoff.

My picks:

ADAP 8%
ARQL 8%
BLCM 8%
CMRX 8%
ESPR 8%
FGEN 10%
NKTR 8%
OCRX 8%
OMER 8%
TGTX 8%
TRIL 10%
TTPH 8%

$100 to winner.

I just returned to computer today. My quant studies are showing 2 extreme buy signals in XBI (6 weeks with lower lows and lower highs; down last year, quarter and month) and 1 moderate buy signal in BTK (%'s above moving averages).
