What this conservative thinks is the issue is mostly hype to grow government and suck money from the producers to the non producers.

Two me there are two major points.

First, what are the facts? We have been clearly lied to and efforts to uncover the source data are met with resistance by government agencies. Hopefully those who have hid the data or manipulate the data will now be held to account by the Trump administration. Along with the lies and coverups is my underlying belief that AGW is simply the ultimate tool to get at the hated energy industry - an industry that has literally lifted billions out of poverty.

Second, if it is real - what realistically can be done about it. Pissing into the wind to prove one's bladder size is not generally a good idea. I believe it is the true believer Hansen who has said the Paris Agreement is worth nothing. LOL - the Chinese are going to peak in 2025. The demographics of the world mean CO2 emissions are going to continue to increase so if we have AGW now it is only going to get worse. If it is real and billions and billions are going to be spent on it - the expenditures should be on something that works. Simply pissing away billions to make the left feel good about themselves ignores the plight of the billions of people still living in poverty. I have said before, a means of heat rejection to deep space is the only thing that makes any sense - if it is real.

Finally, there is the constant ranting of one of the biggest loons on the boards - Eric - that solar/wind energy is the cheapest form of new energy. Well - if it is the problem is over. Markets will chose to implement solar/wind and there will be no need to piss away billions of tax dollars on what would happen naturally.

Meanwhile - as we wait - real projects to provide clean air and water to the masses of the world are worthy of investment. If such have a CO2 benefit fine.
