I see the following dates on the site:

Ex/Eff Date
Declaration Date
Record Date
Payment Date

Read more: nasdaq.com

I see for one of my holdings, the Ex/Effective Date is 3 or 4 days before the Record Date.

Based on your message, I would need to have the stock "in my account" on the Record Date. Not the Ex date? Or do I need to have the stock in my account for both the Ex/Eff date and the Record Date?

That brings up this question: If I buy the stock, there may be a "Trade Date" and a "Settle Date" 4 or 5 days later. I suppose the "Settle Date" is the date of importance? Or is it the day after the "Settle Date?"

Thanks very much for your help!
