The Republicans keep on moving further to the Right, but the Democrats keep on struggling to nominate someone truly to the Left.
When will they learn? Is there a true Leftist out there who can run for President (outside of Sanders) and capture the heart of the American people?

The Republicans have been moving to the right at a pretty good clip. It took only a few years before those early darlings of the Tea Party were ousted for being RINOs. Whatever would make you think that the D's should counter that by moving even further left? The tradeoff is that they invigorate the lefties but lose the center. I suppose there are professionals who could estimate the gain/loss in votes. About as well as they estimated this last election, that is.

The country is basically conservative outside of...

Ergo, no one left of Obama, probably left of Clinton, has any shot at "capturing the heart of the American people." This is not a progressive country. No one can sell it reparations and collectivism.

I watch a lot of basketball. I keep hearing the announcers compliment players for letting the game come to them, not trying to force things. The D's could learn from that.
