war of sorts, i suppose.

i'm wondering about the personal and social struggle with
how to make money (survive) in a work environment that
demands workers just follow orders and disregard
whether one is harming others: the eichmann way.

folks who find 'success' in ethically rotten workplaces
often say, 'that's the way the world is.' and if pressed
about ethics might say, 'you're naive.' this is their
justification for deceitfully taking advantage of others.
we also hear, 'i have a family to support' as a
shadow of their ways.

recently, there's been revision of college psych 101
to include an evolutionary perspective that serves to
support neodarwinistic beliefs that humans are
primarily selfish. such belief encourages us to
squash others when we can, because that's what
(good) folks do. coincidentally, this supports the
primary corporate ethic, like 'exploiting' any opportunity
in order to benefit self/company. and directs to
managerial leadership that 'burns down' a workplace
structure, with disregard and often contempt for the
humans who are working there.

yep, i remember the days when 'exploitation' was a
bad thing to be avoided...and now it's a 'value-added'
trait to learn and nurture.

war, hmmm...
