I think you are asking "what have they done for me lately," or what is gained for your party, rather than what is gained in general or for the particular voter.
In such comments you demonstrate your failure to understand others. I can't speak for everyone who casts an independent vote but I can tell you what I've gained which may hurt because it also speaks to your loss.
Let me start by stating peace of mind is maintained.
We are able to demonstrate honesty and loyalty to principle because, as a true independents, we are free to cast votes as a matter of conscience based on the character, qualities, and qualifications of each candidate.
We are able to watch as the thrones of you absolutists are shaken to the ground.
My belief in universal suffrage allows me to hold my vote as a sacred representation of the free expression of self rather than a subservient obligation to a party, unfettered by superstition or tradition; while, the pivotal doctrine of oneness for the entire human race is undisturbed.
It forwards the condemnation of all kinds of bigotry including that expressed in the hatred of liberals and the expressed hatred of conservatives alike, while confirming the harmony of two voices. |
