To all: We've been getting some new "faces" on this thread lately, but we need to stimulate interest in the Y2K sector a little more on SI. There's great money to be made here-- and that applies to whatever your investment style happens to be. Problem is that I'm not so sure most people can even find us here. If you search for subjects with the keywords "Y2K" or "Year 2000" you don't even see this thread in the list.

So, in an effort to get more people interested in Y2K stocks, I have two ideas:

1) Change the thread name. Maybe something like "Year 2000 (Y2K) Stocks: An Investment Discussion" might be more appropriate. This should also connote that one should post investment related Y2K articles here, and "societal" related Y2K articles on the "Year 2000: Impact on Stock Market & Society" thread.

2) Perhaps we could also get volunteers from the various individual Y2K stock threads to post a weekly thread summary here (i.e. each weekend). Personally, I have so many Y2K threads bookmarked that I don't have a prayer of keeping up with but a handful. Additionally, as we attract more people, we have an effective way of handling the "which stock does everyone here like" question without all inveterate longs feeling obliged to say "my stock".

Any comments?

- Jeff
