Yousef, The key parameters in a digital process is to get the highest FET drive current (Idsat) at the lowest voltage. I was under the impression that it was preferred to get the fastest device transition switching times with minimal slew at the lowest possible current and maximum efficiency using designed device gate length and dopant characteristics.<G> NSM has come a long way in the last 1 1/2 years they have streamlined their organization, gotten focus, and upgraded their fabs with state of the art equipment sets. They will be doing 0.25uM geometry technology this year, probably by May-June in a production mode. Until recently analog didn't require such small geometries but as hybrid analog+digital circuits become more prevalent the need exists to lower voltage requirements to co-exist with pure digital devices for laptops and other personal communication devices.
