Or maybe not? Maybe a decrease on immigrants will mean less competition for the jobs the poor and middle class are seeking? And we have already seen the jobs stay here for Carrier and Ford and Sprint - so despite the frustration of some on the left these are good things for workers. Additionally, if it comes about that foreign producers must pay a tariff equivalent to the VAT taxes US companies face, as Katelew says, that too could be a positive for people wanting to work.
