I was in DC for the game. I didn't get the sense anyone there was too worried about the game. It was a home game with the Skins already victorious in NY, the Giants had nothing to play for, would likely rest their starters at least at the half, etc. McAdoo said he'd play his starters the entire game and, except for Beckham, he did. I guess Gruden didn't believe him and played conservatively waiting for the second stringers who never came.

Note that the Giants, who are a pass-first team, ran the ball most of the day. Their tight end who is frankly horrible was their leading receiver. I think the close low score took the urgency out of the game for Gruden. Desean Jackson kills the Giants, and has since his days with Philly, yet if he got three balls his way the entire game I'll be surprised. Then again, the Giants have an amazing secondary this year which I doubt most people understand is the key to their also amazing pass rush even without JPP.
