Yes... but after Watergate Ford was Prez; and then Carter was elected for four years before the helicopters in the desert cost him a second term.

What we have in 2017 are consequences of colossal nuclear political meltdown, and thought capture by bullshit and propaganda. I would argue that Trump + Congress is unlike anything we have ever experienced in our lifetimes.

Again, the fractures within the GOP are the key, IMHO.

We must exploit this - even if it means embracing strange bedfellows... Like Lindsay Graham and John McCain. And the leftiest Bernie supporters must join the movement with many ewwwww liberal folks they despis; including the military and relatively progressive billionaires. Bernie himself is nobly focused on fighting Trumpism and the Tea party - not complaining that Clinton was capitalist scum who earned her fate like Al Gore in 2000.

Keep hope alive, a barf bag close by as we fight the triumphant power that profits from poisoning the country and planet. We must do this for the next generations who will inherit our toxic legacy. They will not look kindly upon their millennium ancestors, if we fail to wage the necessary battles.

We have begun to normalize the craziest sh*t. Rex Tillerson as Secretary of State??? Jeff Sessions as AG?? Just the beginning of a nightmare.
