SOX is a weighted index of semiconductor stocks like Intel, TI, MU etc. To an extent, SOX is a measure of the semiconductor industry's health as viewed by financial community. There is a strong positive correlation between the valuation of semiconductor manufacturers and the valuation of companies supplying their equipment, including CYMI. Typically, on the days when SOX strongly moves up or down, most semi-equips stocks follow the trend.
