I can't really disagree with this post. Not sure if the comment about Europe is factual, but suspect it could be or at least we are equal to them in purchasing power.

The growing of middle classes in China and India have come, to a large extent, because our manufacturers set up production there. Also service jobs, such as call centers, went to India and smaller countries in SE Asia. We shrank.

In fact, if Trump is very successful in bringing back jobs/creating new ones and puts America first when negotiating new trade deals, it would, I assume, damage the growth of middle classes in those same foreign countries while benefitting our middle class. This makes me sad for them.

Hopefully, somehow the pie grows big enough for everyone to prosper.

When the pie shrinks enough, there somes a point when people get "mean", don't want to share. Hence, a Trump can come along and become POTUS.

It is very Hitlerian, as the left likes to point out. The difference is stark though. Trump would never behave that way--not wired for it. Plus our system of checks and balances would disallow it.
