Hello Richard I'm new to T/A and have just purchased Metastock 6.5. I am currently reading Technical Analysis of the Futures Markets by John J. Murphy and have purchased Martin Pring's 5 Metastock CD companions. I would like to thank you and Dave Evans for all the help you have provided. It seems that I have learned more about T/A from reading your posts in this thread and the T/A-Beginners thread than I have from reading the few books that I have read. What do you think is the better way to learn T/A, by reading as many books as possible or to just experiment with different indicators in Metastock and see what the profits would have been through the sysem test.
