Personally I don't see why the new President should waste his time "defending" himself or his administration.
Defending himself for what and from whom ?? Journalistic hacks ? Political has-beens ? Self opinionated and over rated film "stars" ?
Donald Trump has no need to defend himself from anything. He stood for election, beating Republicans in the run ups. He then stood against that crooked woman, and according to the American system of Electoral Colleges, and NOT according to that "popular vote" system, which it's convenient to keep referring to when you are the loser, he beat Hillary Clinton hands down and by a very large ELECTORAL COLLEGE margin.
If Americans don't like the Electoral College system, and prefer a Popular Vote system, then they can change it according to HOW the Law of The Land says that they can.
Until that happens, the immature and frustrated anti-Trump types must either "put up, or shut up".
IMO, Donald Trump should just quietly bide his time until the 20th. January 2017. If he really has absolutely nothing better to do, then he can lean out of his window and listen to the gnashing of teeth and wringing of hands and the rattling emanating from the 'pearl clutchers', etc, etc, who just will not accept the fact that their crooked favourite lost the election by a very wide and emphatic margin.
And if they really cannot face having Donald Trump as the President of their country, then there is absolutely nothing or no one stopping them from either heading south to Mexico or north to Canada ..... and let's see how long they're prepared to live there ......................... |
