Because it gives the government more power and because crony 'green' capitalists are making big bucks off the con.
Providing academic grants is how government gets more power?? You're nuts. Compared to the potential sales losses of big oil who, is spending more money, pro or con , on climate change? Clearly big oil has most to gain by preserving the status quo...... You cannot show any evidence of a conspiracy to support climate change. Lots of people are going to lose if it's true, only fossil fuels gain if it's not. Trying to make a case against solar and wind is likely where money is going. The phony list of papers you posted is proof of that...
So my question remains why conservatives automatically support the oil guys and line up in lock stop behind them, what are you getting out of it? Why are you making science a politcal issue?

I've only been able to read a few of the papers on that list but they don't deny global warming, they show evidence to support local and temporary support for other mechanisms in specific parts of the world for short periods of time, ie sun spots. The simple fact that you post a list from a site called NoTricksZone is tantamount to admission of collusion of deniers... I don't even think the authors of those papers realize their work has been usurped to be put on that list....
