Silicone occurs naturally within the human body, so an autoimmune syndrome would be a stretch. Millions of women have had breast implants with no ill effects. My stated reason for not having breast implants is the only caveat I would need.

I know what you mean about talking and thinking about nicotine. On the very few occasions that I did quit smoking, talking about it and thinking about it were my downfall, much more so than being around people who were smoking. It may well be a good idea to change the subject. <vbg>
