China has been the big story for the past 15 years and we needed to know the dynamics of China from someone who is close to the action. And there was TJ in HK to let us know what was going on. And he took the mission com gusto. And started telling all kinds of stories and showing HK as the center of the Milk Way. and you could see he was enjoying his position. In 2009 I started working with Huawei as I managed the project they were the supplier. That lasted 3 years which was followed by 1 and half years in Kenya. I also was in China twice. I did not make my mind on the spot. It was a process for me to start realizing what China was all about. Note that I am saying that I did not rely on what I read. No. I interacted with Chinese and China. I slowly started to discover that there was a China out there and it was not TJ's! TJ was selling a China to this thread and a China that is not there amigo! He was faking a China like a publicist. As a result I have to unmake the China that TJ created in the minds of people in the thread. Had he been honest he would have said, well, Elmat, I am like you. I am unlearning what I learned and I want to relearn the new angles as this is the true mission of the thread. Nope. He stuck with his case and still want to parade the facade he created in 16 years when the evidence is all there. Slowly he will retreat no more to be seen in this thread as 2017 will bring a dismantling of the China We don't need a chief decider.
