"I would not be surprised if Trump got fed up enough to do away with the Press White House setup."

Yes, good idea. The Office of the President can always issue statements about something, IF it sees fit to do so.

And the "Press" can send the President their list of questions, which they can make public if they so wish, and the President, or his appointed Press Secretary, can reply, if they so wish.

And if they don't reply, it's probably because they have far more important and pressing matters to attend to.

The "Press" need to get the picture that they are not as essential to Human Existence and the Affairs of Humanity as they seem to believe they are. All that they need to do, in the grand scheme of things, is to do their best in obtaining newsworthy items and reporting on them in an unbiased and professional manner .... Period.

The world, as it happens, does not rely on the "Press" for its ongoing existence and the furtherance of its day to day affairs and interactions.

And at the end of the day, these massive Media organizations are there, primarily, to make a profit for their owners. And they often go about that task in an unscrupulous and dispassionate manner, despite their often "bleating" about the "freedom of the press", which, more often than not, they abuse to the Nth degree ..... So, "Eff them", I say .....
