I'm a long term investor. So am I. I'm pleased with my choices 15 months in. At the time those two portfolios were started oil and gas prices were in decline. Two of my choices slashed their dividends sharply a few months within 3 months of the start of the contest. That's horrible. Yet 15 months later, the portfolio shows a 6.6% gain. Beats the hell out of a 42% loss. Being 42% down, you need a 72% gain just to get back to even.

I doubt there are any 'green' energy stocks paying dividends. A shame. Every quarter a dividend payer pays you back some of your money.
