As Bastardi points out, stratospheric warming coming this weekend. This sucker will flip the pattern around Jan 25. This is what I expect, too. January thaw, then boom...polar vortex returns. This is a model forecast, but it's what I expect, and Bastardi is seeing it. I'll keep an eye on the actual stratospheric signal for confirmation. It's moving in the right direction.

I see nat-gas is up 6.5% from a correction. I suspect this is the reason.
