Dave, Suffice it to say that VIX has some subtle forecasting abilities and I have used indicators which provide what I consider to be decent trading signals. I got those indicators over on the TA for Beginners thread (I recommend that thread highly to everyone) here on SI and those indicators seem to work very well. I am still in the testing phase and do not want to publish them yet. Besides, I WOULD like to get back the $100,000 plus I have paid as part of my education in the markets and would like to have the luxury of deciding how GREEDY I want to be. As far as the market situation right now, we are AT LEAST 5 trading days away from a SELL... although we could have a short term (2-3 days) sell at any time now. IMHO and with all caveats including BWDIK! I hope that addresses your post. Regards. Bill
