That's high stakes. What's next?

Well, now we know. John Lewis took it to the "Trump is illegitimate" level.

Black Congressman Says Trump’s Presidency Is Illegitimate
| by Brian Anderson

Imagine the headline if it read: White Congressman Says Obama’s Presidency Is Illegitimate. The Congressional Black Caucus would freak the hell out, demanding an apology, censure, and probably impeachment. Speaking of the CBC, one of it’s members says Donald Trump’s election was not legitimate. Rep. John Lewis feels Trump has no right to assume office next week because the results of a fair and free election are not fair and free enough for the veteran civil rights leader.

In a preview of Meet The Press, which will air on Sunday, Rep. Lewis told Chuck Todd why he won’t even try to work with Trump when he’s sworn in.

“You know, I believe in forgiveness. I believe in trying to work with people. It’s going to be hard. It’s going to be very difficult. I don’t see this president-elect as a legitimate president,” said Lewis.

Todd then asks Lewis if he truly believes Trump is illegitimate to which he replies yes. Todd asks him to explain why.

“I think the Russians participated in helping this man get elected and they helped destroy the candidacy of Hillary Clinton,” Lewis said.

Lewis has no plans to “legitimize” Trump’s presidency either.

“I don’t plan to attend the inauguration. It will be the first one that I miss since I’ve been in the Congress. You cannot be at home with something that you feel that is wrong, is not right.”

Chuck Todd is genuinely astonished that Lewis is trying to claim Trump is not the rightful President-elect and the Congressmen wows him even further with this:

“I think there is a conspiracy on the part of the Russians and others to help him get elected. That’s not right. That’s not fair. That’s not the open democratic process,” Lewis finished.

Remember during the election when liberals were confident that Hillary Clinton was going to win and how disgusted they were with their own invention that Trump wouldn’t accept the results? Hillary called it “horrifying” and her campaign manager Robbie Mook said it was “treason.” Have you noticed since Trump won fair and square how horrifying and treasonous the liberals have become?

Even if you believe the US Intelligence report saying that Russia was behind the DNC and Hillary campaign e-mails leaks, even though it is devoid of any proof, the only thing that was revealed is that Hillary is kind of an unlikeable snob. That was common knowledge before the leaks and had no impact on the election. Rep. Lewis is basically saying that the Russian government was involved in a conspiracy to expose Hillary’s well-known bitchiness and that it cost her the election. It’s simply preposterous.

Usually when people claim wild conspiracy theories like this, they are institutionalized. These are called paranoid delusions and require professional help to cure. Thanks to Trump’s legitimate election and the liberal fake news media these serious mental health problems are now mainstream political opinions.
