Stoicism seeks peace thru acceptance & equanimity in the face of life's vicissitudes, you can posit a 'god' all you like, but if one does not make the abode for love & wisdom in one's own heart, you only inherit the dust in the wind. That god is only a pretense , a chimera, meaningless three letter word.
